Volmi — A Virtuos Studio is a Ukrainian company, part of the global game development company Virtuos, specializing in creating art for games.
We cooperate with the gaming industry’s leaders and participate in creating world-class projects.
We invite an experienced Lead Technical Artist to join our team and conquer new heights with us!

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of tech artists, QA in the production of AAA games;

  • Technical Direction: Set the technical direction for game development, ensuring the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions;

  • E2E Solution. Work closely with AD to establish pipelines and tech requirements at the start of the project;

  • Project Oversight: Oversee tech-wise all aspects of game development, from concept to release, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget;

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest level of tech quality, optimization in game development;

  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with other department leads and stakeholders to align project goals and visions.

What kind of professional are we looking for?
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 5 years in game development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing AAA game projects;

  • Profound knowledge of game engine technologies, Unreal Engine, Programming languages (C++), and graphics programming;

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects and teams, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle in game development;

  • A strong portfolio showcasing successful AAA game projects;

  • At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English;

  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.

Will be a plus:

  • Experience working with Houdini, Blender Geo Nodes, Unreal PCG;

  • Basic Art Theory knowledge.
